Auckland Marathon Identity
A new brand, website and merchandise for this iconic annual Auckland event.
The long-established Auckland Marathon was overdue a makeover in 2017 and Amplifier was enlisted for the job.
We did away with the cluttered, corporate brand and website, introducing a playful brand ID fit for 'New Zealand's most colourful running celebration'.
The added challenge of incorporating the key sponsor branding paved the way for a clean, bold and bright brand identity, with the 'Run the City' slogan becoming a core part of all branding communications.
The Auckland Marathon website gave fans their first look at the new identity. As well as showcasing the new brand it was important that we design the site with usability, SEO and responsiveness at front of mind, especially given the large amounts of information and regular updates by the client through the CMS.
Comms & Merch
We have retained a close supplier relationship, designing and building the event website and consistently being called upon to create digital and print ads, campaign material, flyers, maps and various merchandise and signage.
